CLIENT SUMMARY
Our Client is a world leader in fluid handling systems and components. Our client products move, measure, control, dispense and apply a wide range of fluids and viscous materials used in vehicle lubrication, commercial and industrial settings.


POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for working with the Divisional Sales and Marketing Director and divisional Product Marketing Managers to aggressively drive incremental growth of the division. Key responsibility in identifying and assessing organic growth opportunities in market spaces beyond today’s presence. Primary focus on developing the China market utilizing existing products or developing new product proposals within new markets and applications


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify key growth marketing in China for AFTD division.
    • Researches and defines key growing markets in China.
    • Evaluates products to determine fit into identified markets.
    • Creates strategy that meets business requirements for market penetration.
    • Evaluates market channel and develops strategy to penetrate new market.
    • Complete competitive review (MNC vs. local) to determine requirements for success.
    • Travels to trade exhibitions, industry events and professional conferences to identify current and future market trends.
  • Defines product requirements to successfully penetrate new markets.
    • Builds Customer Requirements Document (CRD) with Asia Pacific Product Marketing teams.
    • Presents and secures engineering resource for target market / product development.
    • Provides market expertise to ensure product profile has maximum impact / value.
    • Initial lead for field testing, working with Product Management and End-Users.
    • Validates concepts and global potential for other regions (EMEA, SCA, NA).
    • Formulates launch strategy for new markets in conjunction with Product Marketing team.
    • Develops AFTD new product roadmap with Product Marketing team.
  • Defines and coordinates future market potential within China.
    • Works with Asia Pacific Sales & Marketing Directors to coordinate new market activity.
    • Closely coordinates with other Asia Pacific Market Development Specialist on cross divisional market opportunities.
    • Develops market entry strategies to drive growth in China. Including organic, private label and other market alternatives.
    • Identifies potential acquisition targets and summarizes for corporate Business Development Managers
  • Planning and Communication
    • Develops annual expense budgets.
    • Manages demo account as needed to support market development needs.
    • Creates annual and quarterly plan to develop new markets and applications.
    • Participates in Hunter program.

  • Identify sales growth potential in targeted industries, markets and applications.
  • Strategic market management and new market / application development.
  • Define channel, sales and marketing processes to implement winning sales strategy in conjunction with Asia Pacific Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Provide leadership to marketing, sales and engineering while developing marketing and product specifications for identified key markets.
  • Define Chinese competitors and implement winning strategy for identified markets.
  • Develops strong knowledge of product, applications and industries.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of successful sales, marketing, engineering and/or business development experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations, marketing principles and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels, both internal and external.
  • Ability to manage and influence a cross-functional team with no direct reports and whose members have additional responsibilities outside the team.
  • Superior project management and organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multidimensional strategic projects at one time.
  • Fluent in English language, including reading, writing and oral.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of time and relocate as required.
