The purposes of this position are:
The Sr. Software Verification Engineer has the responsibility to verify a system, module or component, conform to the departmental and project procedures and processes.
The job entails responsibility for independently organizing (reciprocal) reviews of his/her verification protocol with colleagues, in addition to those with the Architect or the Senior Technology Specialist.
The Sr. SoftwareVerification Engineer takes part in the reviews arranged by the Architect and accounts for his/her proposed approach.
Functional responds to directions from the Architect or Senior Technology Specialist. He/she guides and supervises less experienced colleagues, contractors and trainees.
Any potential failures to meet schedules, deliverables or budget are reported to the Project Leader and suggestions are made for avoiding overruns.
For day-to-day professional problems he/she consults the Project Leader and colleague Designers. For complex technical problems he/she consults the more specialized Senior Engineer and Senior Technology Specialists.
Technical contacts with internal/external customers and suppliers.
Next to general skills each professional software verification engineer has built up a specialization in a medical informatics domain, which can be a particular software verification technology or a product feature.


Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Responsible for the verification of a system, component or module; understands and communicates consequences of his/her verification strategy on the architecture.
2. Designs on the verification protocol in accordance with the functional specifications.
3. Ensures that there is proper documentation for the verification activities (Verification protocol; Plan; report).
4. Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
5. Performs work in line with the processes that have been agreed in the department.
6. Is responsible for input in the planning process.
7. Responsible for organizing reviews with experts (including peer reviews).
8. Constructive contribution to project team and department.
9. Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of the literature and technical contacts.
10. Spot and communicate relevant funded work and other business opportunities.
11. Shared responsibility for the competence development of the group/development. Responsible for coaching of (junior) colleagues and project team members.

Job Requirements & Skills

- Education: A recognized Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or relative discipline;
- Experience:
o 10 years experiences on software product development.
o >5 years experiences on medical software verification.
- Competency and Skills:
o Knowledge of modern testing methods, tools, and processes for unit, module, integration, system test for functionality and non-functional requirement (performance, etc.).
o Experience on medical software development process, e.g. IEC62304.
o Familiar with C/C++, C#, Java programming.
o Familiar with various OS platforms, Win/Linux/IOS/Android.
o Good communication skills, both Chinese and English.
o Ability to write precise technical document.
