Position Title: Site MPS Deployment Practitioner
Reporting Relationship: General Manager
Primary Responsibilities of Position:
The Site XX Production System (MPS) Deployment Practitioner is primarily responsible for:
Ensuring site-wide deployment of the tools, concepts and methodologies that make up the XX Production System including, Stratgic Management, Daily Management,and Talent Management all of which are key to MPS system effectiveness.
Working in collaboration with the Site Leadership Council to enable and support the MPS journey to achieve required results, maturity and capability as they advance through the various stages of the XX Production System and XX Business System.
Facilitating and coaching Value Stream Mapping (VSM) analysis of ‘as-is’ state, and ‘to-be’ state to create a gap analysis that enables a rigiourous plan to execute the transformation from ‘as-is’ to ‘will be’ state. The output from the plan must drive alignment with site long term strategic plan and meet/exceed our customers expected performance targets.
Baseline ‘as-is’ learning/knowledge/skills/expertise and ensure leading practice knowledge is leveraged across the site
Support the establishment of learning, and a core approach for key tools, methods and MPS elements
Interface closely with the Site Human Resource (HR) leadership assuring effective cultural base transformation and change management methods
Essential Duties Include:
Directly provide formal and informal training and coaching
Working cross-functionally interface with all levels of the organization
Assist in achieving Strategic Plan objectives
Continue to evolve lean tools to build internal capability across the site
Sustain Improvements through Visual Management and Leader Standard Work
Promote and facilitate associate development and leadership
Deploy solid systems understanding to identify improvements needed
Benchmark and incorporate best practices

- Delivering MPS tools, concepts and methodologies to achieve breakthrough performance results

Attributes/Skills Required:
10 years + manufacturing, supply chain, quality, lean manufacturing knowledge and experience
Lean Expert certifications as defined in Industry criteria equating to excellent lean manufaturing teaching and observation skills. Ability to teach and describe excellence
Variation reduction tool knowledge with several cycles of learning and successful deployment
Integrative thinking, leadership impact/influence, and change management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
Global mindset and ability to leverage/source analytics and data management
Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate the implementation of significant changes in a large organization
Ability to build consensus across multiple organizations and senior levels of the site
Ability to simplify and clarify complex and ambiguous problems
Strong Program/Project Management skills
Clear understanding of the linkages of demand through production and distribution
Track record of driving solutions to assigned tasks utilizing a proactive approach to problem solving
Experience/Education Required:
Ideal candidate can demonstrate prior experience deploying such system at a large industrial company (Fortune/FTSE 100)
5 – 10 years of directly related experience in Operating Systems Deployment, Lean manufacturing, Variation Reduction methodology
5+ years of direct experience leading manufacturing/maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations or equivalent
Demonstrated experience in Organisational Development (OD) /Organisation Effectiveness (OE) toolset and methodology
Demonstrated experience in driving functional excellence Initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial, supply chain management or equivalent technical field
MS/MBA with supply chain/manufacturing/industrial engineering concentration is a plus/desired
Program/Project Management certification preferred
Must be able to travel up to 25%.
