职位描述
Provide service to customers in the oil drilling business by assisting in Receiving Inspections and the initial Installation & Commissioning of NOV supplied drilling equipment. This will involve but not be limited to installation guidance, documentation revision, performance testing, and fault finding and repair of the installed equipment. This will involve troubleshooting and repair of AC and DC, digital and analog power, control, and instrumentation systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Attend Receiving Inspections of NOV equipment that arrives in Yard. Follow up on Receiving Inspections with punch clearing as required.
2. Monitor and advice on proper installation and start-up of various electrical systems provided to the customer by NOV.
Examples of equipment are Automated Pipe Racking Systems, Automated Pipe Torque Wrenches, Riser and Drill Pipe Automated handling Systems, Top Drives, Automated Pipe Elevators, Rotary Tables, Fingerboards, Casing handling Modules, Service and Maintenance Baskets, Automated Draw Works Systems, Mud Pumps, Choke and Kill manifolds and associated control Systems, BOP Control Systems and HVAC Units.
3. Installation supervision and advising will include verification of electrical supply, control, and instrumentation cable (including fiber optic cables) installation in accordance with established specifications for type, rating and electrical capacity, proper sequestering of IS, NIS, and communications cable, cable fastening and bend radius verification, cable insulation protection and environmental safeguards, verification of cable continuity, insulation resistance, and proper mechanical termination methods, junction box location and installation, proper junction box vapor and water resistance component installation and other such verifications as required to comply with NOV established installation instructions. This may also include ABS and DNV classification documents pertaining to the installation of electrical systems on Mobile Offshore Drilling Units in order to qualify the systems for certification in the required certification protocol and to ensure warranty continuity.
4. Start up and Commissioning will include initial system functional verifications, troubleshooting and repair of systems damaged in transit, installation or manufacture, and final verification of system operability and integration as established in the equipment design specifications and commissioning procedures developed by NOV and verified by the building shipyard and the eventual end user prior to delivery of a fully functional drilling package.
Requirements:
1. Should possess a high degree of skill in solving complex electrical and electronic problems in a wide variety of instrumentation, controls, and power distribution systems. Must be able to function as part of a team or independently. Applicant must be comfortable working at heights and at sea for periods of up to 30 days.
2. Five years shipyard or other industrial experience preferably in an intercultural enterprise
3. Bachelor degree with major in Electrical or Control Systems (equivalent military experience and training acceptable)
4. Must be literate in use of standard office software
5. Must be literate in English and Chinese (Verbal in written)
