Position Purpose

To oversee and manage overall operation of GMI Wuhan team, enable the efficiency and continual improvement on global MI activities support including, but not limited to, Scientific Response Document (SRD) writing & review, inquiry fulfillment etc (hereafter as MI activities). In the meantime, interacting with WRDC functional teams to foster professional & active environment.


Organizational Relationships

Report to MI Area Lead reporting to APAC Region Director in External Medical Communications within Pfizer Medical with dotted line to Head of Wuhan R &D center.
The Medical Information Service Lead interacts internally with:
GMI Wuhan Medical Information Service Associates, and the Global Medical Information Colleagues. With increased experience the role will interact with BU Asset or TA Team Leaders, as well as Team Leaders from Legal, Regulatory, Safety, C&O, WRD, and PharmSci as needed


Primary Duties:
*Follow strategy set by Global Medical Information leadership
*Direct line management of MISAs and handle all day-to-day operational and personnel issues
*Establish, maintain and improve efficient business process on MI activities, in collaboration with appropriate internal MI groups.
*Collaborate with stakeholders on each MI activities to monitor quality of work output, as well as the key metrics and progress on each MI activities.
*Define criteria to evaluate advancement of MISA through phases of work with increasing complexity.
*Collaborate with appropriate MI colleagues, create and execute training plan and ensure the effective implementation on the plan.
*Foster a learning, positive environment for all MI staff and maintain the team morale.
*Proactively seek and implement innovative ways to create the efficiency and quality of work.
*Communicate regular progress updates to senior leaders, GMI Wuhan stakeholders and all GMI/EMC colleagues as needed.
*Ensure the compliance/facility readiness as required by SOP global/WRDC level. *

Minimum Requirements:

*Bachelor or higher degree in medical science, pharmacology or related discipline.
*Previous line management experience required, including the supervision of administrative staff
*Minimum 3 year experience in medical information, Medical Writing, or Information Services area.
*Excellent English skills.
*High proficiency in using Windows and MS office and excellent keyboard skills.

On October 31, 2005, Pfizer announced the official opening of China Research and Development Center (CRDC) in Shanghai. Pfizer Global Research and Development’s Center is mainly engaged in drug development activities. Much of the facility's capacity is devoted to the study design, data management and statistical analysis of global phase I-IV clinical trials, as well as the clinical study report process. In addition, CRDC is a part of Pfizer global Safety and Risk Management and covers the functions of safety data processing and assessment. The center also trains Pfizer employees in China and throughout the Asia region in internationally recognized Good Clinical Practice standards.
辉瑞公司于2005年10月31日宣布辉瑞中国研发中心正式在上海揭幕。辉瑞中国研发中心主要为全球辉瑞药物开发提供支持工作。大部分的功能是围绕在I-IV期临床试验研究设计、数据管理和生物统计分析、以及临床试验报告的部分准备工作。此外，该中心是辉瑞全球安全和风险管理部的一个分支，负责安全数据处理和评估工作。研发中心还将为辉瑞公司在中国及亚洲的其它运营部门的员工提供国际标准的临床试验管理规范(GCP)的技术培训。
