Responsibilities:


· Develops landscape design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems.

· Plays a key role in projects, as a lead, project manager, or critical designer.

· Generally leads projects that are small to medium in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule, and staff are working together effectively.

· Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard landscape architecture techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects.

· Develops designs using specialist 3D software including Rhino and 3dStudio. Uses these models to create high quality renderings with the additional use of software such as Photoshop, together with the production of physical models.

· Contribute to the presentation and report development for clients; generally has a key role in client management.

· Coordinates and consult with local regulatory agencies on scope and impact of project when necessary, together with coordination with material suppliers and manufacturers.

· Assist in marketing efforts to current clients and to identify and attract new clients.



Requirements:


· Bachelors in Landscape Architecture or closely related field required, Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.

· Generally requires 4 to 6 years experience in a landscape designer role.

· Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.

· Previous experience successfully managing small teams.

· Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.

· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and, Adobe Creative Suite software packages.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.

· Experience working with 3D programs such as Studio, Rhino, Sketch-up beneficial.

· Good hand drawing skills also beneficial.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
