Description: Sourcing Leder (Video)
Reporting: ? Direct report to APAC Sourcing Director
? Matrix report to GPC Business Director Key Operational Responsibilities:
? Build Sourcing strategy and competitive supplier base to support business growth.
? Responsible for managing a world class portfolio of OEM/ODM vendors to support the global video business needs.
? Responsible for keeping up with market & technology trends via frequent contact with large OEM/ODM supplier base. Actively shape product roadmaps based on supplier and market intelligence, collaborating with global video product management and regional marketing teams.
? Conduct supplier analysis, evaluate potential suppliers and manage supplier qualification process to meet customer quality and cost requirements, positioning XXX as the lowest cost provider in the market.
? Plan, direct, and coordinate work activities and resources necessary to meet customer requirements in cost, quality, and specification.
? Develop and implement category strategies and product development, in conjunction with commercial directives.
? Manage and develop qualified commodity team to ensure sustainable operations and continuous improvements in the supply base.
? Communicate, facilitate and coordinate supplier plans and activities with cross functional teams, internally and externally.
? Complete management and delivery of global AOP productivity and working capital requirements.
? Negotiate contracts/purchasing agreements and any other related duties to contract management.
? Drive product part tear downs and Kaizen events to achieve productivity improvements.
? Create sourcing plans, requests for proposals, and eauction activity globally.
? Manage critical shortages and supply challenges.
? Assist and participate in the overall HSG supply chain initiatives (cycle time, HOS, localization, VMI, Pull, etc.).
Qualifications:
Competencies Required:
? Bachelor degree in related field, advanced degree preferred.
? 10+ years of experience and expertise in the sourcing of video cameras, recorders, and products associated with security video products (including operational and strategic purchasing/sourcing). ? 5+ years of managing or leading a global team.
? 5+ years of experience in global supply chain management with experience in factory operations.
? Very good language and communication skills – English and Mandarin/Cantonese.
? High level of personal and professional integrity. Additional Qualifications:
? Demonstrated project management and leadership skills and ability to successfully manage multiple initiatives.
? Ability to work both independently and team environment in a global matrix environment.
? Experienced in operating in a business environment with collaborative initiatives and multi stakeholders.
? Understanding of global sourcing laws and environmental requirements in North America, EMEA, and Asia.
? Demonstrated success and expertise in global negotiations, in different cultures, with multi-national suppliers.
? Global and strategic thinking to drive supply chain management.
