As a Management Trainee in Diageo China, you'll be responsible for bringing our ambitions to life and will have a direct impact on our performance as a business. We celebrate great performance, and give extra responsibility and faster career progression to those who excel.

How our programme works

You'll complete three challenging, rewarding and varied rotations during our structured, three-year programme. From the outset, you'll be assigned a primary function and this will shape the career path you'll follow and the rotations you'll carry out.

We believe in a "real-job" philosophy; all management trainees are placed in jobs that make a difference to our business and this allows for a lot of on-the-job learning. The learning curve may be steep, but the payoff to your development and visibility is definitely high!

Throughout the 3 year period, you will be provided with structured development opportunities (leadership courses, coaching, mentoring) in order to grow you into a high potential manager with strong functional expertise. You will be a leader from day one in the business and we will give you the freedom to achieve your potential. After the 3 year program we would expect you to take up key managerial positions in Diageo China.

After the programme, you'll be expected to graduate to a more senior role in line with your career aspirations.

What are we looking for?

We want you if you have:

1) A track record of strong academic performance;

2) Good leadership skills and the ability to learn quickly;

3) Are open minded, self- motivated and have a passion for team work

To be successful, you'll need to be driven, curious about the commercial aspects of our business, adaptable and resilient, and passionate about finding ways to develop yourself professionally and personally. The successful candidates will be internationally minded and have the potential and drive to be future leaders for Diageo China.

In our assessment we aim to be as holistic as possible, but we are particularly interested in seeing you demonstrate communication, analytical, creative thinking and problem solving skills during our recruitment process.

Functions available for this year's Management Trainee Programme

Marketing - Focus on various activities with our Marketing brand teams.

Commercial - With a focus on the reserve commercial channel in line with Diageo China's reserve strategy

Finance - With a focus on commercial finance to provide insights to business through data analysis

Supply - With a focus on supply chain management

Students from all disciplines are welcome to apply, and the likely working location will be in our Shanghai office
