Main job responsibilities:
1. To supervise R&D/TS departments of SK,JT/YX, QZ and QL plants
2. To assist Group R&D/TS Director in new product development, new process research
3. To assist Group R&D/TS Director in development and approval of new raw materials for manufacturing purpose such as new wheat types and food additives and ingredients
4. To be actively involved in technical services activities such as new product introduction to KA customers,complaint handling, on-site product training and related optimisation activities with customers
5. To act as technical coordinator with Government technical parties,professional and academia (PRC,HK or overseas) in aspects of certification, research and technical collaborations as well as related liaison works
6. To work closely with QA,QMD and Food Safety departments to assure product quality and operation safety
7. To take lead in product and technical services training for all plants in the Flour Division

Academic and professional qualifications:
1. Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry with Food & Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, fermentation as major subjects in curriculum
2. Postgraduate qualification (MSc, MPhil or PhD) is an advantage to the post
3. Professional qualifications such as membership/fellowship of chemistry society, food science & technology association will also be taken into selection consideration
4. At least 8 years of working experience in which 3 years are in senior technical operation positions in flour milling and/or downstream industries
5. Experience of technical services and training is required
6. Knowledge of enzymes and food additives is considered desirable
7. Good command in written and spoken Mandarin and English
8. Able to work independently in research experiment designs and capable in taking lead of the research team in new product development
9. Knowledge of edible oil technology is an advantage
10. Working experience in PRC (at least 3 years) is required
