Senior Electronic Design Engineer, Male Grooming China - Consumer Lifestyle


Your challenge
Are you the experienced Electronic design engineer who can work on Philips’ personal care projects from ideation to product launch? Can you work in fast-moving business environments where cost and time-to-market are critical for success? Expansion of our Personal Care business group means we have a challenging vacancy for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer who is prepared to take end-to-end responsibility for electronic design responsibility from architecture towards engineering design and mass production process of male grooming products that maintain Philips’ leadership in consumer lifestyle markets.

Your responsibilities
As Senior Electronic Design Engineer in Philips Consumer Lifestyle’s Personal Care business group, you will work on electronic design of male grooming category of Philips. Working with both internal/external cross-functional teams of marketing, industrial/engineering/industrialization design, purchasing, quality, external supplier, and liaising closely with Philips’ international supply base to optimize electronic design and deliver consumer value, with consideration of manufacturability, cost and quality in parallel.

Your main responsibilities are:
· Design of electronic modules for CL products, primary for the Shaving and Grooming product in new product development project.
· Support electronic module upgrade, debug, optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement in product lifecycle management.
· Build up product electronic requirement from overall product requirement management.
· Translate technical requirements into product concepts and electronic designs;
· Design and test the modules or components, to ensure reliable, efficient, and user-friendly products;
· Lead new product introduction process (mass production) for electronic modules, with cross functional team.

As Technical Project Manager, Male grooming China, you report to the Innovation Lead, Male Grooming China.

Your team
The Philips Consumer Lifestyle innovation and development facility in Shanghai, China, includes Male Grooming , Kitchen Appliance, Mother and Child Care, Air development team. While in Drachten, the Netherlands, there is a global Male Grooming development team, which you also need to work with.

We are looking for
We are looking for a highly professional electronic design engineer with:
· You have a Bachelor or Master degree in electronic engineering or equivalent.
· You have 8 years+ working experience in developing electronics for consumer products and you have a thorough understanding of modern electronic engineering tools, methods, processes;
· You have electronic manufacturing process knowledge and experience.
· You like working in multidisciplinary teams and are able to communicate very well with different (international) people;
· You have a pro-active attitude and high quality mindset towards your assignment;
· You have good communication skills and are open to work in close cooperation with Asian EMS suppliers.
· Have sense of cost.
· Self-motivated, independent with Can-Do attitude.
· Result oriented.
· Fluency (verbal and written) in English.
· Willing and be able to travel in China and to Europe (<20%).
· Six Sigma belt trained and/or certified will be a plus.
