Role Mission

This is a strong partner who works closely and in support of the retail operations management in the Northern Region to ensure the appropriate focus is placed on critical human capital needs and concerns at the business level.
He/she should be a trusted advisor to the line management and front-line employees to optimize effectiveness of business decision-making related to the human assets.

Key Accountabilities
? Support for line managers to drive business results through people & organization capability
? Translate business needs into HR requirements and evaluation services delivered to the business
? Focus on strategic activities (such as deployment of the talent strategy) and monitoring of HR operational services
? Provide relevant HR-related insights to line management, participating in managing the business from an HR perspective
? Influence the business agenda with regards to talent implications
? Coach and counsel business management on issues of personal effectiveness, leadership, individual & team performance
? Support culture change initiatives and establish key communication strategies for business-related events impacting people
? Advise on critical employee relations issues and manage risk effectively
? Broker consulting and advisory services from the COEs (Centers of Excellence)
? Provide input to COE to create innovative HR solutions, based on the business needs analysis
? Work with COEs and HR operations to ensure new programs and processes are effectively communicated and implemented
? Provide feedback to COE about effectiveness of policies, programs, and processes
? Manage successfully employee relations issues
? Ensure appropriate talent quality organizational development and HR cost control
? Facilitate new or revised HR program implementations in the region

Desired Education & Experience

? Bacheler’s Degree in HR Management or equivalent
? A minimum of 5-8 years of professional HR experience in progressively more responsible HR positions, with a focus on Retail
? Partnering the business to meet objectives and leading on HR initiatives

Desired Competencies &Skills

? Proven and strong HR experience within Retail sector
? English and Chinese fluent
? Ability to grasp the strategic priorities and define HR goals
? Able to communicate with employees at all levels and reach out to the store frontline
? Able to follow up on projects and activities on a day-to-day basis to maximize impact
? Outspoken & open minded with a dynamic work style
