Summary of Client:
Our client is one of subsidiaries of a very famous US group who is a leading manufacturer and innovator of components for major appliances and provides a large variety of components for customers. Their main products are door lock, lid lock, pressure switch, pressure sensor, automatic temperature controller for washing machine, ignitors for cooktop, temperature control for oven, and components for refrigerator. The group globally serves the big appliance companies such as Whirlpool, Electrolux, BSH, GE, Indesit, Samsung, LG, etc.
Reporting Lines:
Department: Sales/Marketing
Report to: Commercial Director, Appliance Asia
Job Summary:
Serve as the leader for new customer, new business segment development and market research in China. Grow the business in WET, refrigeration, cooking and small appliance market. Work with R&D and Sales department closely to manage some key strategic projects of the company.
Key Responsibilities:.
1. Develop new customers in China.
2. Develop new business in new segment such as small appliance, cooking, coffee machine, water purifier….
3. Market analysis and research.
4. Manage some core strategic projects of China Business Unites.
5. Support to Indian/Korean sales manager for business growth.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Electrical / mechanical engineering degree.
2. 7-12 years of experience in the appliance industry.
3. 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Sales or project management.
4. Familiarity with the product development process.
5. Understands value-added selling.
6. Supervisory experience.
Skills:
1. Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
2. Superior communication skills, especially professional presentation skills.
3. Demonstrated skill in gathering and analyzing market information.
4. Fluent English languages.
Attributes:
1. Strong Mechanical/Electrical Engineering background.
2. Aggressive in market development and relationship building.
3. Takes initiative; able to function independently.
4. Confident.
5. Credible.
6. Creative and visionary.
7. Able to adapt and flourish in the shifting environment and circumstances of a new and growing business.
