Summary Description
· Proposition & product definition based on CO’s input, Povos input, market trends and consumer insights consumer for Philips branded products coming from Povos:
· Communicate & align with CO’s regarding key ingredients for successful product portfolio & roadmap: country wishes, local competition, desired price points, etc.
· Collaborate with Povos to embed country’s wishes together with market trends & terchnical innovation potential into an insightful & feasible product roadmap (through Povos or OEM sourced).
· Co-develop with Povos sub-category vision & mid to long term roadmap strongly leveraging input coming from the CO’s
· Be linking pin between Povos and Philips for project development: linking Povos & Philips experts to cross-leverage expertise
Organizational Context
· Manager Consumer Marketing reports to the Director Consumer Marketing KA China
· Manager Consumer Marketing is sub-category-dedicated and works within Povos, being the linking pin to the CO’s for the Povos community (but mainly the IPL)
· Closely works together with the Sr CMM Povos (Rice Cookers, electric Pressure Cookers and Induction Cookers beyond China will be split across 2 roles)
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Owns consumer insights for category
– Proposes, analyzes, summarizes, and catalogs consumer research to drive insights
– Collects shopper insights generated by CO MMs
· Helps in Development of the long-term vision and 3-year strategy for the category
– Supports the development of comprehensive strategy (covering full portfolio, all 4 Ps) and identifies adjacent white spaces and acquisition/alliance targets
– Helps create and assess the product/proposition roadmap
· Develops product and non-product propositions
– Builds business cases for each proposition
– Owns VPH of products in scope until phase-out; translates VPH into commercial brief to drive across functional teams
– Owns the development budget per proposition
– Manages the cross-functional matrix during proposition development (T&D, Design, Quality, Supply, Marcom), reaching out to Philips organisation where needed
· Develops marketing strategy for propositions
– Per proposition, defines marketing approach and objectives (and aligns with BU MMs and lead SOs, if applicable)
– Proposes pricing strategy
– Outlines menu of communication vehicles; provides integrated communications briefing
– Develops channel guidelines

· NPS for category· Revenue/market share per sub-category
· Project-based (e.g., IPD milestones)
Capabilities Required
· Min. 6 years of (inter)national upstream marketing experience, currently working in Philips or
· Philips experience with right level of business understanding, network and pragmatism, willingness to learn upstream
· University level with Business/Strategic Marketing direction
· Experience with product market introductions
· Background in fast moving or durable good business
· Able to write and execute marketing plans
· Understands Consumer Insights and VPH development
