The Liquid/Bulk Supply Chain Tactical Planner is responsible for developing long term, medium term and short-term supply plans. The incumbent routinely interfaces with Plant, Sales, Operation Managers, Distribution, Scheduling and CSO to minimize combined production and distribution costs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Tactical Planner
1.Monitor plant inventories (LOX/LIN/LAR)
2. Establish appropriate, lowest cost sourcing
3. Direct plants to produce appropriate amounts of LOX/LIN/LAR/H2
4. Direct scheduling teams to increase/decrease loads coming out of plants to maintain inventory balance
5. Establish supply plans to get through planned and unplanned plant outages
6. Coordinate with wholesale manager/sales manager to ensure optimization of spot opportunities and distributor pick-ups
7. Approve/Decline 'as available' spot demand, such as some steel, glass and/or chemical field jobs
8. Negotiate sale/purchase of product from competitors and 3rd parties.
9. Quantify dislocation costs of planned and unplanned outages (dislocation costs, lost sales as a result of outage, product lost, purchased product)
10. Periodically do a sense-check on competitor sales and purchases to ensure we are in line with swap agreements
11. Challenge/Evaluate driver staffing numbers at each terminal using head knowledge and driver staffing model
12. Incorporate AP vehicle resource constraints in sourcing plan, Secure rental equipment as needed (proactive) and identify the need to shift or re-deploy vehicle resources
13. 'Check in" with plants preferably daily, or at least once per week, just to make sure their plans are in line with yours
14. Participate in LBU Reviews (productivity meetings, purpose is to improve our supply chain processes; requires travel to plants -about 15% of time)
15. Organize S&OP Meetings
16. Develop weekly supply plan
17.Responsible for production planning and inventory management


JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Education : Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering degree from reputable university
2. Advanced Supply Chain, business and/or engineering education or training, CPIM certification an added advantage
3. 5+ years of Supply Chain, Distribution, Scheduling and Production experience, preferably in inventory management, supply planning and Production planning
4. Experience in Merchant Gases LOX/LIN/LAR/H2 is preferred but not a must
5. Experience in working in multiple cultures/countries a plus
6. Strong communication skills
