Key Areas of Responsibilities
· Produce creative and innovative packaging construction design with strong quality sense, cost, logistic and assembly optimization.
· Design review, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
· Attending project meeting to follow up NPI project – packaging related activities closely and full commitment to ensure meeting CROV target.
Communicate and work closely with Product Engineers, other project cell members and Project Leaders to ensure good packaging creation which fulfilling customer expectation.
Create draft drawings and draft packaging BOM for initial quotation at early project stage. Be able to perform material cost estimation precisely.
Final packaging construction design, die cut drawings, pallet stack design and packing instruction creation and system upload.
Work closely with purchasing/ procurement for new packaging samples making and Pilot Run materials preparation.
Collaborate with test lab for packaging related tests.
Pilot Run and first production on-line supports, material validation and packaging assembly facilitation. Design issues and necessary engineering change follow up.
Labels template creation for in-house label printing purposes.
Local BOM and drawings release for production.
Manuals, graphics checking, print proof approval and electronic documents release for production.
Support customer cost down and glass breakage complaints packaging re-engineering activities.
Manage customer engineering change request, and related activities execution: material stock quantity check, scrap cost calculations, rework arrangements and necessary communication to customer via email.
Philips Behavior: Team Up to Excel. Assist and provide strong supports to other packaging engineers when necessary.

Job Requirements & Skills

a) Education: Bachelor Degree Holder
b) Experience: Minimum 5 years Product Pacakging Design
c) Competency and Skills:
Basic knowledge in consumer luminaires products, best if he/she has similar working experience.
Proficient in Pack Design, CAD (AutoCAD 2012 & above), Cape Pack, Adobe CS (optional).
Good communication skills/ persuasive and be able to converse in English.
Good reading and writing skills in English. (Workable to Expert)
d) Travel Frequency: 0 – 10%
