Responsibilities:
·Able to coordinate multi-functional team work
·Five years experience with different materials, processing & technologies.
·Able to think in scenario solutions with different technologies , processing, materials and finishing's as possibilities and implement accordingly.
·Able to translate material and finish requirements into technology solutions.
·Able to create and support a competitor analysis and landscaping related to the material and finish.
·Able to investigate technical and constructive design feasibilities with different M&F technologies together with lead designers.
·Able to support and lead the process from initial proto-part samples to final component & quality release for M&F.
·Able to describe and simulate consequences of material and finish selections related to parts and articles.
, i.e. Mold flow by plastics.
·Able to dive initial release tests and development activities at suppliers.
·Able to support the supplier capabilities mapping and initial cost price analysis.
·Able to support short and long term projects, or product development and pre-development projects.
·Able to visualize step by step the processes, technologies for a specific material or finish.
·Able to support the creation of design guidelines.
·Able to communicate and transfer knowledge to stakeholders to enable progress
·Responsible for hands on, consultancy and research projects as a team member and/or project leader in the field of process development for materials and finishing's.
·Active role in supporting the design in improvement of the current and future manufacturing processes used at Philips Consumer Luminaires, which are extremely important to deliver high quality products and / or functions.
·Excellent communication in English with colleagues, customers and external partners on a technical level will be of crucial importance.

Activities capabilities attitude:
Support and project lead the implementation of materials, finishing’s , processes and new technologies.
Support the global M&F golden triangle team in identifying (new) M&F topic related processing technologies which make new functions in Philips luminaires possible.
Affinity with process understanding / descriptions / simulations of M&F topic related parts, i.e. Moldflow by plastics
Able to gather and translate needs in (project) proposals and execute these.
Able to create options in parts and function creation.
Contribute to long term development policy in the area of M&F topic related processing.
Knowledge management during development stages and consolidate in design guidelines and base liine documents
Develop and maintain an excellent network in the area of M&F expertise in and outside Philips(Consumer luminaires)
Open mind for the cooperation with other (technical) disciplines, external partners and companies..
