Title: Contract Manufacturing Manager
Report to: Supply Chain Manager, Axalta China
Location: Shanghai
Description:
l Works with sourcing and appropriate technical resources to define and qualify external contractors.
l Identifies contract manufacturing assets with adequate capability to meet current and future business needs.
l Act as key integration point for the contracted assets in the AIBM process, ensuring that the contract manufacturing plans and capabilities are aligned with the AIBM supply plan.
l Functions as the contract administrator on behalf of Axalta by;
n Managing the interface between Axalta and the contractor.
n Regular communication of needs and appropriate metrics
n Assessment of the contractor’s performance against the plan and metrics,
n holding the contractor accountable for delivery against the contract including all aspects of quality and safety as well as delivery to plan.
l Benchmark and optimize the capability and performance of contracted resources versus other contracted resources and that of DuPont resources.
l Protect DuPont manufacturing know-how from transfer to third parties and from being used to benefit other customers of contract manufacturers.
l Act as liaison with sourcing in determining the business requirements for the contract with the contract manufacturer.
l Act as specialty coating business interface to have close connection with business team
Qualification:
l Bachelor or above with major in Macromolecular Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
l Minimum 5 years workshop experience in on-site process and production management and prefer to familiar with the polymerization.
l Excellent interpersonal communication and quick problem solving skill is needed.
l With knowledge of 6 sigma, SPC, DOE process, FMEA, and Control Plan.
l ISO knowledge and continuous improvement concept.
l Willing to face the challenging and fast changing environment.
l Good verbal and written communication capability in Mandarin and English
l Willing to be on travel (>50% of the working time)
