This position will fully support Manufacturing Product Engineering team in problem solving from problem identification, Characterization to root causing, control and monitoring after Corrective action been implemented. It is required to provide precise data query results from data base and analysis results to help better understanding and decision making. Also some regular daily/weekly/monthly reports based on business need is also required.

This position will also work closely with cross-functional manufacturing team, and contract manufacturers.

Responsibility:

1. Full responsibility for data query and detailed analysis based on business need, and be able to provide data support in decision making for management team

2. Work proactively in production yield analysis, quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities from data analysis perspective; supporting role in problem identification and parametric analysis; and be able to propose solutions for problems;

o Work with MPE team in E2E/Subsystem/ErrorCode excursions to find out if Material/Test/Process related;

o Gap analysis in different product generations, manufacturing sites and different component suppliers;

o Daily/weekly/Monthly reports update;

o Manufacturing cost reduction through analyzing factory repair cost and effectiveness;

o Deep dive in CTQ/Fs (Critical to Quality/Function) to understand the variations and possible impact;

o Data analysis support in Special builds for decision making;

o Field return data correlation with factory fall outs;

o DOE (Design of Experiment) in a statistical way for meaningful experiments and results.

3. Be able to use Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio to generate auto reports.

4. First is to get data from data base, requires strong SQL programming skills, can write good and efficient codes for him or others to get the data; both raw data and the data have been processed, to quickly reflect the problem. This is the must background;

5. Analyze the data got from data base according to the problems we have in manufacturing; willing to work with engineers to solve problems to get satisfaction from it

a. Some engineering sense

b. Less requirement, but should be willing to work on it

6. generate regular reports based on need ; using SSRS to generate reports is a must;

7. Be willing to do other job that assigned according to project need; though maybe not too related to BI work, this is also a must

Requirements:

•Bachelor or above in engineering field or computer science, Statistics;

•Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin

•Expert in statistics and knowledge about DOE

•Analytical skills to handle vast quantities of data and summarizing to meaningful insights;

- Manufacturing knowledge and good engineering sense

- Ability to work in both individual and team settings

•Experience in statistical software (JMP preferred)

- Experience in SQL Scripting, mainly on data query

- Experience in Microsoft Excel/PPT…
