POSITION TITLE
Technical Manager

CLIENT SUMMARY
Our Client is a European enterprise which is one of the largest systems suppliers of telecommunications.
The products that manufactures can be broken down into five main product groups: integrated enclosure systems, mechanical parts, electronic modules, backplanes, and cables assembly. Such as telecommunications networks, industrial automation, laboratory environments, measuring equipment, elevators and cranes.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

  • Quality management:
    • Continuous improvement of Quality and Environmental Integrated Management system,
    • Follow up and improvements of process and product quality in order to satisfying the customers by achieving their quality requirements,
    • Improve the supplier quality and do supplier developments.
  • Engineering management:
    • Responsible for managing new product projects (new product introduction, products transfer projects) of the Company (APQP process)
    • Responsible for support the sales quotation process for self made parts and products e.g. DPR, tooling, manufacturing processes...cycle time preparation,
    • Manage the production support in case of any kind of quality and process improvements.
  • Lean manufacturing:
    • Deployment of lean manufacturing in Hangzhou Plant by following the corporate rules and use and train the lean tools,
    • Lead cost improvement projects (Kaizen,6 Sigma) in order to reduce the internal costs and manage continuous projects.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accomplish the task are listed above.
  • Support the plant management team and his colleagues in order to achieve the plant strategic goals. Coach the Technical Team and the other employees.
  • Efficient cooperation with other departments
  • The local legal requirements, plus company and customer requirement must be taken into his consideration during his job.
  • Reporting to the managing director and his corporate manager according to the company rules.
  • Improvement of company image.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Min Bachelor's degree on Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor's degree mechanical orientated production economics,
  • Minimum 5 years experience and excellent understanding from sheet metal manufacturing processes,
  • Minimum 5 years experience in quality management & control,
  • Good knowledge of lean manufacturing methods (VSM, Cellular layout, Continuous flow, Visual Factory, 5S, Lean Metrics),
  • Understanding of DMAIC process and Six Sigma tools,
  • Good knowledge for ISO 9001:2008 and 14001:2004, other quality standard knowledge is an advantage,
  • Computer skills (Windows; Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint...etc.)
  • Fluent spoken and written English,
  • Deep understanding of internal quality control methods,
  • Good experience on utilizing process controls and measurements,
  • Good knowledge of statistical methods.
