PURPOSE 目的
To grow the LED lighting business of Philips in China, we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Lighting Applications and Service department of Philips Research China as a senior scientist of green building and livable city services.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES主要工作职责
Be responsible of defining scope, solution and service innovation in the domain of green building and livable city;
Participate in projects, perform research and lead the activity of service and data mining for intelligent lighting system as well as adjacent solutions and services for smart city and green building; Be able to translate the results into services
Understand the requirements of customers and end users; be able to communicate the requirements to business; work closely with external partners to develop differentiators that fulfill the customer unmet needs;
Assist in defining research directions with innovative concepts and applications that can drive new technology and services into the market;
Be up-to-date, be able to build knowledge base and competence of service for the team;
Deliver high quality results in the forms of patent, technical report, technical paper and the proof of the concept demonstrations/prototypes etc;

Understand customer insights and manage uncertainties
Identify and discover the major technical problems and business workflows along the trend of lighting, green building and energy service, and ICT industries
Synergize knowledge in different areas
Generate innovative ideas and develop technical solutions in combination of creative business methods to solve the unmet needs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS岗位要求
The position requires the following personal capabilities and competence for acceptable performance:

Education学历:
Master or PhD degree in computer science or mathematics; better have a degree of business administration
Experience工作经验:
More than 3 years working experience in the field of service;
Experience on data analytics and business intelligence is strongly preferred
Experience in intelligent lighting, energy service (e.g., Energy Management Contracting) and smart city is preferred.
Experience in managing research and development projects in the relevant fields.

d) Competency and Skills 能力和技能:
Self-motivated, pro-active behaviour, result oriented and quality driven.
Good communication and presentation skills, good spoken and written English (CET level 6 or higher) and Chinese (Mandarin).
Strong programming skills (OOP, web-based programming and database)
Proficient in at least one of the following methodologies: data mining, statistical methods, expert systems or machining learning
Strong experiences on data analytics tools are preferred, e.g. (OLAP, SPSS, SQL Server, Oracle, Cognos and etc.)
