Job Responsibility

- To develop and manage switches/sockets and modules;

- Define, optimize and analyze switches solutions (electrical, mechanical, industrial design and manufacture);

- Feasibility study on new ideas;

- Create innovative and robust mechanical designs according to the specified market requirements;

- Compare and choose appropriate metal and plastic materials for various requirements;

- Define geometry and dimension and tolerance for 3D and 2D drawing; to ensure product’s flexibility and manufacturability;

- Lead FMEA for switches/sockets solutions, including mechanical and electrical;

- Implement design review with ODM supplier, and drive ODM to improve switches/sockets developments;

- Packing design and improvement for switches, communicate and identify packing solutions;

- Evaluate product cosmetics and give cost effective proposals;

- To lead switches value analysis and value improvement activities;

- Design of experiments for products, respond swiftly to identify root cause and come up solution;

- Switches/sockets application support of existing products for customers;

- Provide 3D models, 2D drawings and work with a PLM system;

- Support of purchase team for switches sourcing;

- Analysis of failures and complaints in the field and market;

Job Requirement

a) Education: B.S. in mechanical engineering fields

b) Experience: At least 5 years experience in switches development etc;

c) Travel Frequency:

d) Competency and Skills:

-At least 5 years switches/sockets development experience;

-Rich switches/sockets application knowledge and experience;

-OEM and ODM management experience is preferred;

-Familiar with switches/sockets standards;

-Familiar with one of 3D design software at least (Inventor, Pro/E, UG, SolidWorks etc);

-Familiar with plastic, sheet metal and packing design (mechanical design background);

-Knowledge of FMEA, tolerance analysis, Design for manufacturability and design for assembly;

- Have volume product design experience;

- B.S degree in mechanical engineering or related;

- Fluent spoken and written English;

- Initiative and strong sense of responsibility;

- Team player and result oriented;
