GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:



· Provide feedback and assistance to the supplier in its development of corrective action roadmaps

· Investigate and promote appropriate quality tools and techniques

· Implement disciplined problem solving methodology through the supply base

· Monitor and review supplier performance

· Collect and report supplier performance metrics

· Perform data analysis to assist in problem solving or re-sourcing decisions

· Lead 2nd party supplier audit to identify process improvements

· Collect and verify supplier documentation

· Coordinate and monitor continuous improvement efforts for each supplier

· Promote continuous improvement methodologies including Design of Experiments, FMTiPs, FMEAs, and Control Plans.

· Support supply base development through APQP process.

· PPAP experience.

· Communicate policies and procedures (internally and externally)

· Investigate internal or external supplier performance complaints and concerns, ensuring a fair settlement is reached



JOB REQUIREMENTS:



· Engineering Bachelors' degree required.

· 3-5 years of automotive quality engineer preferable.

· A thorough understanding of quality, automotive, and environmental standards (e.g. ISO-9000, ISO-14001, QS-9000, etc.)

· Working knowledge of problem solving methodologies. Basic understanding of purchasing terms.

· Working knowledge of problem solving methodologies and SPC. Basic understanding of purchasing terms. Experience in APQP and AIAG processes.

· Computer literate with knowledge of Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) software.

· Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to interact with all disciplines within the organization; both internally and with suppliers. Must be able to lead cross-functional teams.

· Proficiency in organizing and coordinating several activities at once. Flexibility to take on challenges.
