GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Identify potentials regarding sales growth and market share increase for large bore engine piston rings for 2- and 4-stroke engines (new-built and spare parts) in China.
· Lead the development of profitable sales growth in the independent large bore piston ring aftermarket (ship-owners, service organizations, etc.).
· Establish long-term relationships with purchasers at engine builders and in the spare parts market.
· Being responsible for quotations, price and contract negotiations with domestic customers.
· Coordination of sales activities with new local JV for large bore engine rings.
· Act as an interface between new local JV sales and global (Germany) and local LBE sales teams.
· Maintain price lists, costs calculations and quotations as well as statistics (e.g. turnover and margin development on article basis).
· Work closely with large bore ring manufacturing and logistics operations in China, Germany and Sweden to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
· Serve customers with most suitable products out of F-M production locations and with consideration of global strategy to ensure common approach e.g. price level and contract terms.
· Support of sales planning activities, work in concert with global (Germany) and local Application Engineering.
· Participate in sales meetings and provide sales reports.
· Work closely and agree on strategy with Sales Manager Powertrain, Industrial Products LBE in China as well as global LBE sales team in Germany.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor degree or similar level of qualification in business administration or engineering.
· At least 5 years working experience in large bore engine component sales in China, preferable for both 2- and 4-stroke marine engines.
· Experience working in or with multi-national corporations.
· Ability to work within a matrix organization without losing focus on personal responsibility.
· Strong in team working and networking with colleagues and customers as well as enthusiasm, a willingness to learn plus a relentless approach to the delivery of our core values (including a well developed facility to celebrate success).
· Willingness to travel frequently within China.
· Good knowledge of MS Office and basic knowledge of SAP.
· English has to be very fluent both in speaking and writing.
