Main responsibilities：The Sourcing engineer has responsibility for leading sourcing of materials, leveraging regional spend by working with a cross functional team, sourcing new suppliers, reviewing and analyzing proposals and bids. This role is also responsible for managing supplier data base, commodity reports and Sourcing strategies.Other duties include promoting compliance with all corporate purchasing/sourcing policies and procedures.
1. Responsible for identifying new potential suppliers, manufacturing sites, design partners and low cost regions and leading the supplier selection process, interacting with regional and global teams as required.
2. Perform ongoing assessment of sourcing alternatives by defining and using request for proposal (RFP) and request for Quote (RFQ) processes.
3. Prepare recommendations for sourcing based on commodity analysis, risk analysis, supplier evaluation and RFP & RFQ responses.
4. Project leadership for transfer activities (TOW) within the supply chain managing deliverables for effective transfer of designs, manufacturing.
5. Conduct research across spend and categories/commodities, make quarterly commodity reports regarding supplier technology roadmap, raw material cost trend and competitors analysis.
6. Support contract management and terms implementation for supplier agreements.
7. Join supplier qualification activities, including Q+ audit support and other highlighted supplier quality issues.
8. Work closely with the R&D team to evaluate supplier and risk assessment for NPD projects.
9. Lead developing and preparation of quarterly KPI reports.
10. Assist in developing and implementing local sourcing strategies.
11. Facilitate ongoing supply chain management, spend analysis, risk management and maintain associated data and reporting processes.
12. Compliance with UTC Code of Ethics requirement.

Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or above, major in Supply Chain Management, Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 4 years experience in broad industrial product sourcing management in China with MNCs, experience with high volume electronics manufacturing industries is highly preferred
- Rich experience on sourcing electronics, plastics and fabricated components
- Knowledge of product development processes
- Excellent demonstrable inter-personal skills, ability to collaborate in teams and to work independently with extreme self initiative and influencing skills
- Strong business and system intellect; able to analyze business requirements and provide system and/or process solutions
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written)
- High business ethical standards
