职位描述
1. Brief Description
The Manager of Supply Chain Technology Solutions manages technology saluting and manages implementation responsibilities for all lines of business for North Asia. He makes technology a competitive advantage for APLL through innovation and addressing fundamental differences in technology and service requirements for the Logistics Business (functional/specialized/customer facing). Win new business and support existing business more efficiently.
The candidate will be responsible for the following activities;
1). Leads projects of TMS and WMS product ensuring business requirements gathering with internal and external
2). Leads end-to-end delivery of Transport Management and Warehousing System products for APL Logistics internal and external customers.
3). Support Sales effort in promoting support and developing our TMS and WMS capability through innovation
4). Manage project team members and direct reports to ensure successful implementation
2. Key Result Areas
? Successful Project and/or Application Implementations: The assigned application should be successfully implemented for new customers. Implementation metrics include:
1). Ensure delivery of projects within time, schedule and budget
2). Feedback from customers or internal users (at end of implementation process)
3). Manage UAT and pilot support for internal and external
? Successful Project and/or Application Adoption: The assigned application should gain user adoption by customers and/or internal users. User adoption metrics include:
1). System metrics (user activity tracked by the application)
2). Training and User proficiency
3). Work closely with IT to ensure system stability and performance
? Talent Management: The candidate must be able to effectively manage/mentor existing team members / direct reports.
1). Feedback from project team and IT
2). Feedback from HR counterparts on candidate’s management of existing talent as well as attracting and development of new talents.
3. Key Accountabilities/Duties
1). Manage the critical Application processes including but not limited to:
a. Assist in Marketing and sales presentations
b. Enhancement requests
c. Innovate Solutions
d. Implementations
2). Develop and maintain application processes and associated documents or forms.
3). Write the primary business requirements, monitor & review deliverables in various stages in system development cycle for the assigned application.
a. Interact with customers and business users to understand business requirements.
b. Develop business requirements documents
c. Participate in functional and design review meetings
d. Review functional and/or technical specifications
e. Review/Test new enhancements from development team.
4). Vendor management
a. Able to interact with external vendors to translate business requirement into business solution and system design
b. Able to work with external vendors to ensure that development of product is in-line with business requirement
5). Play a leading role during sales engagements and supply chain technology solution demonstration to customers as an application expert. Lead and facilitate business solution workshop as required for business requirement gathering and process improvement.
6). Lead or support ASO team initiatives. The ASO team is a force that drives innovation and improvements throughout the enterprise. Therefore, the ASO team must work to establish uniformity in process and communications. Individual ASO team members must lead projects that span across applications and geographies and further the strategic goals of the enterprise.
7). Talent Management. The candidate must be able to effectively manage/mentor existing team members / direct reports as well as assist the company to identify talent to help Supply Chain Technology reach it’s business objective
4.Incumbent specification
? Degree in Computer Studies or Logistics Management or related discipline
? Minimum 7 – 10 years working experience in the International logistics environment including logistics management, freight solutions, warehousing and distribution and other supply chain-related services at regional or global level
? Successful record of leading and implementing innovation and development in areas of solutions, service, and technology
? Knowledgeable in logistic service providers and global transportation (Liner) business process, terminology and industry practice.
? Customer oriented with the ability to establish strong relationships and interact effectively with customers at various levels.
? Able to interact with customers and business users to understand requirements.
? Functional experience with Transport (GLOG) and Warehousing management applications.
? Have Implementation experiences with Oracle Transport Management (GLOG) application and warehousing projects
? Strong IT background and well balanced between solid business/marketing sense and the execution aspects
? Good Sales and project management and coordination skills, and ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment
? Some regional and domestic travels needed
