CLIENT SUMMARY
Our client, a USA company, is a leading manufacturing of temperature insulation products.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Overview of role, any additional information regarding reporting lines, matrix organization etc, how this will assist the company moving forward / why is the position available etc.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide leadership for and directs all phases of the Financial and accounting functions of China operations.
2. Responsible for the accounting and finance for Suzhou, Shanghai, Linhai and other future operations in China.
3. Develop and implements programs and policies to attain assigned financial objectives. Train subordinates in line with company needs.
4. The Assistant Financial Controller China must be of high personal integrity and high moral character. This position is responsible for the company's accounting, control, and cash management systems within China. The individual is responsible for designing and implementing the proper financial control systems to safeguard company assets and for regularly reviewing and testing the control systems to ensure they are efficient and effective.

6. Shanghai / Suzhou/ Linhai consistent with Chinese & US GAAP, and reporting the results.
7. Monitor cash flow and, with Director, Finance & HR China, Finance Director of Far East and EC Worldwide Finance Director, determine effective utilization of the cash within China.
8. Manage any banking relationships and monitor/manage any intercompany loans or third party debt.
9. Support local management team in implementing the strategy for in China.
10. Identify cost saving or revenue increasing opportunities and assist the local team in achieving them.
11. Ensure company compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
12. Recommend and manage the company's IT and ERP systems and ensure they meet the needs of the business.
13. Provide guidance and direction to local finance staff, including performance objectives and reviews, and development plans.
14. In Charge of HR and Administration matters for Suzhou and Shanghai. Make sure we are in line with local requirement on salary, wages, OT, labor contract etc.
15. Other duties assigned by Director, Finance & HR China.
Nature and Scope:
1. Report directly to the GM with a dotted line reporting relationship to the FD Far East (Australia) and EC WW FD (France).
2. Major Job Functions and Tasks: (Use asterisk [*] to denote essential functions in compliance with ADA - specifics against which performance is measured.)
3. Involved in business planning and forecasting
4. Provides info for sound marketing and pricing decisions.
5. Closing of financial books
6. Very solid costing knowledge and experience in manufacturing facilities. Good at standard costing and variance analysis.
7. Audits values and quantities of inventory. Directs responsibility for taking physical inventories
8. Calculation and distribution of hourly payroll.
9. Auditing and payment of AP.
10. Verification of shipment reports and shipment value.
11. Assists by providing info and guidance in capital project requests.
12. Directs and supervises team concept for total accounting functions as it relates to Accounting, Payroll, Std cost system, Productivity recognition program, computer terminal operations and MIS responsibilities.
13. Develops income statement and balance sheet forecasts and prepares actual performance results on a monthly basis.
14. Prepares and reviews monthly variance analysis vs. business plan objectives.
15. Establishes operation standards with input from respective department managers.
16. Prepares annual budget which reflect performances and objectives; consolidates same into cost/process center plans for total China operations.
17. Monitors and reports on construction in process for approved capital projects.
18. Promotes safety awareness within accounting department.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. B.S. in Accounting.
2. Minimum 5 years' experience including 3 years' experience in management role.
