Hardware Design Verification Engineer (To Microsoft, based in Shenzhen & Zhuhai)

The MTE (Manufacturing Test Engineering) quality team is looking for a strong candidate capable of filling a key role in validation and qualification of hardware components/systems, embedded software and firmware. The qualified candidate will be comfortable leading test strategy discussions, develop test methodologies/plans, and drive test innovation. Prior experience developing test schedules/phases, identification of resource requirements and working with high volume consumer hardware verification/test is a huge plus.

Successful candidates will have strong hands on hardware design or hardware testing background, able to read and follow schematics; have solid knowledge of USB and other standard communication protocols such as I2C and SPI. Experience working with ICE, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers as well as data aggregation/correlation is a definite plus. Background and experience with scripting language programming is a plus.

Key Qualifications:
? Minimum 8 years of experience in designing test/validation systems and testing electronic hardware at component, device, and system levels
? Experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis and yield improvement
? Experience with programming languages such as C++/C#, Lab View, Matlab and/or scripting languages
? Successful track record of working/integrating with cross functional groups (PM, SW/HW dev, ME)
? Strong organizational, verbal and written skills
? Working knowledge of quality tools such as Minitab and/or JMP and/or SigmaXL is a definite plus
? BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering or computer science (MSEE preferred). In lieu of a degree, verifiable professional experience is an acceptable substitute. Our team is looking for strong collaborators and “continual learners.”
