Usability Engineer for Mechanical
Job Description
Usability engineer for mechanical is responsible for test preparation and execution on XBOX 360 accessories and components. The individual will work with both development and other test engineers to develop test plan, test tool development, execute test cases, report and track defects, and provide status report throughout a product life-cycle.
? Create test plan, schedule test resources, track deliverables, and communicate test progress and issues to the product team
? Perform usability test, mechanical test, include keypad test of force and touch feeling and stroke, movement angle test for hardware component
? Report status, and provides feedback on usability, serviceability and documentation
? Understanding of hardware design specifications, verify Mechanical design to see if it meet with product specification and driving for product continues improvement
? Develops test case content and execute test cases/scenarios
? Performs initial problem determination and diagnosis when issues arise during execution, and opens and tracks defect against those problems

Requirements:
? Bachelor degree with majored in mechanical or industrial engineering or relevant disciplines
? be familiar with product mechanical and ID test standard
? Minimum 3 years of industry related experience in IE, mechanical and usability test;
? Solid knowledge of theory and principles of mechanical part and ID test of consumer electrical products is a must
? Experience in mechanical measurement and fixtures;
? Ability to develop test method and bring new tools to user interface testing;
? Knowledge about statistical analysis, familiar with Minitab, JMP, Excel or other analysis tool;
? Strong problem solving skills
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with extensive experience in writing test procedures and reports including the ability for end presentations of results
? Autonomous, self-motivated and team player
