BASIC FUNCTION

The supply chain function is responsible for developing, documenting, communicating, and executing worldwide supply chain strategies within the division. Such strategies include cost improvement, flexibility, responsiveness, asset management and speed to market. They involve existing as well as new products and are aligned with improving the overall competitive position of the business. This Global Sourcing Manager position concentrates on Electronic commodities, globally.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

？ Establish and implement clear strategic sourcing plans and all supply chain activities for the Electronic commodity within ENP ES Worldwide. Implement and maintain associated commercial supply agreements.
？ Work / interface with ENP ES Worldwide（www.emersonnetworkpower.com ） manufacturing locations to forecast and actively manage demand within the supply base for assigned commodities. Ensure contract requirements regarding source, price, lead time, routing, ownership and inventory, (both at the supplier and manufacturing locations) are being followed as required.
？ Pursue lowest cost component solutions to optimize BOM costs and challenge suppliers to do the same. Ensure contractual benefits are maximized. Manage the implementation and manifestation of such solutions into the final price.
？ Link ENP ES Worldwide business requirements to supplier capabilities and performance through the administration and oversight of the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) Process. Perform periodic reviews to ensure they are in synch with respect to cost structure, order mechanics, forecast management, quality, flexibility, lead-times and third party logistics.
？ Prepare quotation packages that are thorough and complete. Understand the cost elements of material, labor and margin and be able to present a clear and concise analysis of the proposals.
？ Collaborate with business leads in the development of supply strategies for key components. Drive their approval and implementation through to final production.
？ Develop and maintain cost model tools to track and implement BOM cost changes.
？ Ensure system integrity via the set up and maintenance of ERP item master records for all lead time, price, order policy and replenishment profiles.
？ Manage and mitigate material supply chain liabilities within the framework of established contracts. Negotiate the settlement of disputes between business leads and suppliers.
？ Work with local buyers and purchasing managers at ENP ES Worldwide manufacturing locations to implement flexibility solutions in the supply chain; i.e., connected replenishment, consignment, reduced lead times, strategic component buffer inventories, and continuity of supply required to meet plant production targets.
？ Apply competitive tension to the supply chain via E-sourcing and direct negotiations. Demonstrate command of the Emerson corporate procurement tools (IM, PA, MIN, ES) and utilize them routinely to manage commodity performance.
？ Manage and direct Supply Chain Engineering team in China to ensure EMS capacity and capital requirements are properly forecasted and budgeted, work with quality and R&D team to find solution of defective product between suppliers and drive process optimization for lowest possible manufacturing costs.
？ Work with Sustaining and Component Engineering on the deployment of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), component obsolescence and material substitutions.
？ Interface with the ENP ES design centers to manage the deployment and release of new Electronic products from design concept through the introduction of mass production.
？ Conduct periodic product rationalization reviews with Product Line Management.
？ Has responsibility to insure other commodities required for the production of Electronic assemblies are properly managed as to not delay the release or production of Electronic assemblies.
？ Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry and market dynamics through close working relationships with suppliers, trade organizations, and self-education

DIRECT REPORTS

？ This position has direct reports who will manage component level cost reviews & supply chain engineering actitivies relating to EMS and electronics commodities. In addition he/she will have indirect (dotted line) responsibility to manage and direct regional planning teams assigned to the EMS commodity


EDUCATION

？ Technical degree preferred, MBA is a plus
？ Knowledge and use of the Microsoft Office products
？ Through understanding of EMS manufacturing process
？ Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to manage cross functional resources
？ Fluency in English
