职位描述
Position Summary:
The selected candidate will be accountable for building a strong understanding of customer needs in all Business Units, developing strategies for addressing those needs, and executing the plan to achieve those strategies. This will involve building a strong relationship with Business Unit Management, managing supplier relationships, working with business units/suppliers to correct major or repetitive supply issues, and analyzing Material Information Network data as required.
Job Description:
? Manage Emerson Preferred Suppliers and work with Regional Councils identifying strategies that can be leveraged across Business Units.
? Lead Major projects affecting multiple business units ensuring timely results.
? Ensure the KPI metrics set forth at the Corporate level are met for the commodity.
? Work with suppliers, Business Units and Supply Chain Performance (SCP) team to implement Perfect Execution programs, and correct major or repetitive supply issues.
? Identify commodity savings opportunities via:
o Reverse auctions
o Regionalization / alternative specs/grades
o Material Information Network analysis
o Material see-through programs
? Track, verify and report commodity saving projections and results.
? Understand, ensure accuracy, and set expectations for China Machined Parts, Non-Ferrous Casting, Fastener reported in Business Unit inflation models.
? Develop and manage supplier relationships to achieve strategies.
? Report unresolved implementation issues to EMR senior management.
? Present a quarterly commodity review to senior management.
Job Profile:
? College degree in Engineering, Business, Materials, Supply Chain or related degree required; preference for Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
? MBA preferred.
? Minimum 5 years experience sourcing machined parts / non-ferrous casting required, including some manufacturing, quality or supplier development background.
? Candidates must have detailed market knowledge of machining.
? Preference for previous work experience in Supplier identification and development.
? Good presentation, communication and leadership experience required.
? Demonstrated leadership skills, strong team orientation, and proven ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management required.
? Good understanding of cost drivers for machined parts.
? Analytical and Computer skills to manage data and information.
? Requires travel to suppliers and Business Units sites.
