Overview:
Purchasing Organization is responsible for sourcing direct and indirect materials and services across the entire Group. More than 70% of the Group’s product costs are handled by Purchasing. Its vision is to be a world-class organization that continuously contributes to the Group's strong drive for innovative products and service solutions. It focuses on functional excellence, strong collaborations with internal and external stakeholders, and leveraging global size to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for materials and services purchased.
Key Responsibilities:
? Lead and develop the China and designated product line purchasing team that fully covers the relevant Sector and Product Line (PL) needs and works together to get an optimum supply solution based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across direct and indirect materials and spend;
? Supervise development, maintenance and support of purchasing strategies using the Global Purchasing Process requirements including the maximum, sustainable competitive advantage for the Group inclusive of price, quality, logistics and risk;
? Develop & maintain strategic and sustainable relationships with key suppliers;
? Establish current and long-term objectives, setting plans for the future, including the development of suppliers to meet future Group requirements for cost, quality, delivery reliability, new product launch, code of conduct and environmental compliance;
? Retain and recruit staff that is capable of supporting the business needs. Develop the staff in technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills necessary for each individual to perform their job and to potentially assume greater responsibility;

Qualification & Experiences:
? Business or technical degree (preferred at university level);
? Purchasing professional qualification;
? Minimum of 15+ years relevant experience in engineering, operations, supply chain management;
? Proven track record of effective purchasing management in a multi-national environment;
? Demonstrated leader skills and business acumen;
? Experience with complex program management;
? Experience and knowledge of China region, with a similar sized multi-national organization;
? Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision;
? Results driven and action oriented;
? Excellent negotiating and influencing skills;
? Ability to think and operate on a strategic level;
? Strong team player;
? Confidence and ability to interface with senior management, internally and externally;
? Fluent in English and Cantonese and/or Mandarin, any other language is an advantage.

? MBA preferred, BS degree
