PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:
The S&OP Manager role has primary responsibility to develop an integrated Sales & Operations Planning process. The S&OP Manager will work as a liaison to the Business Leader and functional leaders and will have overall accountability for the quality of the S&OP process, including but not limited the key deliverables & KPIs for demand planning, supply planning and executive meeting.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Lead S&OP team to achieve the balance of DP and SP
? Lead and coach S&OP team members to achieve S&OP department KPIs and their personal career
development goals
? Reconcile S&OP plans with business plans, including strategic plan, budget and forecasts
? Facilitate demand planning, supply planning and S&OP executive meeting
? Continue to drive S&OP process improvement
? Provide sufficient support to demand planner & supply planner for the DP and SP tools they may use
? Track and provide root cause analysis on KPI
? Develop KPI goals or targets as appropriate; provide leadership in meeting targets
? Primary person responsible for performing or coordinating alternative scenarios or gap analysis
? Primary liaison for the Business Leader, providing preparation for executive review.
Qualification:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
? Experience in leading cross-functional teams
? Excellent analytical skills; “what if” analysis
? Proactive in problem solving with strong problem solving skills
? Proven implementation and project management skills; ability to set goals
? Knowledge of supply chain
? Experience of demand planning tools and methods
? Knowledge of inventory management
? Solid financial analysis abilities
? Proven leadership skills
? Excellent communication skills, including verbal and presentation skills
? Knowledge of strategic and other business plans
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE SOUGHT:
? BS in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related experience
? MBA preferred
? At least 4 - 6 years of planning or product line experience
? Knowledge of Demand Planning software tools & SAP preferred
? Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
