Job Title: Test Engineer
Reports To: Engineering Group Leader
Responsibilities
This is a full time test engineering position responsible for the design and support of test equipment for the AKM servo motors and AKD servo drives. Day to day support and maintenance of existing equipment is also required. The person in this role will be responsible for troubleshooting production problems and raising issues to the engineering team when appropriate. Duties include:
· Design and implement qualification tests on new products in order to demonstrate conformance to internal and/or customer requirements
· Collaborate with design and manufacturing communities to establish Design for Test criteria for new products
· Identify/report defects and confirm when defects are resolved
· Develop automated test scripts that simulate the intended use and environment of the product
· Record and report results of tests to facilitate compliance with ISO
· Perform data analysis in the investigation of potential for known defects
· Recreate reported problems to facilitate solutions
· Develop test tools as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. · BSME or BSEE or equivalent
· Candidate will is preferred to have one of the following
3 years experience with electrical rotating machine design and development
3 years experience with motor drive design and development
· Experience designing test plans and procedures.
· Working knowledge of one or more high level programming language (C/C++, LabView, LabWindows/CVI).
· Knowledge of testing techniques.
· Knowledge of automated test tools.
· Technical writing abilities.
· Advanced skills in device verification and validation testing.
· Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage many tasks/projects simultaneously.
· Ability to communicate technical information fluently in English, especially in writing.
