POSITION SUMMARY / 职位概要
We are seeking a qualified engineer with experience in the lighting and low volt components who will bring a focus to our Value Analysis Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to improve the Quality, Delivery, and Cost of our products. The successful candidate must demonstrate leadership in driving cross functional teams with a proven track record of delivering new designs or modifications of existing products from concept to launch.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / 职位职责
Ø Identify, lead and execute VAVE projects across all of Ex-proof product lines.
Ø Implement VAVE methodology in the New Product Development Process to positively impact design, manufacturing, production specifications and standards.
Ø Work in a cross functional team and manage all aspects of development to deliver new products with exceptional quality, on time and to budget which meet the needs of the customer.
Ø Lead benchmarking and reverse engineering efforts to assess competitive technologies.
Ø Identify product costs and manage projects accordingly using a multi stage gate development process.
Ø Provide sustaining engineering as required for existing product line.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS / 职位要求
Ø BS in engineering degree and 3+ years experience in design and project management. Advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 1 years of experience specifically in design and development of lighting and low volt components.
Ø Strong technical leadership and excellent interpersonal skills. Must be self motivated with a desire to achieve results.
Ø Ability to function effectively in a cross functional team environment.
Ø Experience working in a culture where results matter and metrics are utilized.
Ø Knowledgeable in DFMA and lean manufacturing processes.
Ø Good oral and written communication skills.
