Supply Chain Engineering Project Manager - Asia Pacific
JOB PROFILE

Job description:
1. Support or lead the regional SC projects such as:
1) Logistics hub set up
2) Manufacturing and repair center set up
3) Production and logistics center rationalization
4) Activity transfer from sites to sites
2. Define and implement best practices and company standards in Supply Chain covering: warehousing, pick § pack, transportation, procurement and order processing
3. Define delivery routes and transportation solutions
4. Manage top carriers and 3PL contracts
5. Conducts logistics network and SC operational analysis from vendor to customer to improve cost (transportation, storage, customs clearance,..), customer service and inventory management and lead cross-functional team to implement related projects
6. Develop metrics covering logistics performance (transportation, storage and handling cost, customs clearance,etc...), identify opportunities, propose correctives actions and lead continuous improvement with both external partners (mainly carrier and 3PL) and internal resource (sourcing, production and distribution)
7. Identify, develop and maintain business rules and standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes covering:
1) Warehouse
2) Pick and pack
3) Transportation
4) Procurement
5) Order processing
8. Provide capacity planning analysis for distribution, transportation and sourcing functions
9. Act as an expert in import/export procedures in the region and support logistics function to improve customs clearance or address operational issue
10.Review and recommend system/software enhancements and participate in the ERP implementation for the SC processes
11.Participate in the development of group budgets, cost savings targets and insure adherence.
12.Operate in compliance with all environmental health and safety regulations and policies, Comply with all appropriate ISO procedures. Maintain necessary records.
Background:
1. Preferably a degree in Supply Chain engineering
2. With bachelor or above degree from an university
3. 5+ to 10 years with similar position for a minimum of 3-5 years
4. Supply chain concept including value stream optimization, VMI, Kanban and lean Manufacturing
5. Customs clearance management
6. Transportation management (international and China domestics)
7. Hazardous materials storage and transportation
8. ISO9000 system
9. Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
10.ERP system implementation (SAP)
11.Basic knowledge of computer networking
12.Must be able to speak and write excellent English and communicate in an international environment
13.Excellent communication skills due to contact with all areas of the business and the supply chain (Train, run, motivate working sessions with both internal & external teams)
14.Process and customer oriented
15.Strong analytical and simulation skills
16.Ability to work on own initiative
17.Quality orientated approach
