Position Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible to develop and execute sourcing strategies mainly for contract manufacturing, in alignment with business and global sourcing strategies for DuPont Performance Coating business in AP.

Position Responsibilities:

The incumbent shall

• Responsible for vendor identification, evaluation, qualification, negotiation, and execution of contract manufacturing sourcing activities.
• Work closely with contract manufacturing team to implement new projects and manage existing activities in China in align with business strategy and sourcing strategy
• Lead and implement regional key strategic negotiations and manage relationships with strategic suppliers to achieve cost advantages and sustain business growth.
• Understands the business's challenges, issues, and future needs to create competitive strategies and plans
• Accurately analyzes total cost of product/service to meet business's short- and long-term financial success
• Ensure competitive pricing service versus industry trends and market place dynamics.
• Identifies and drives continuous improvement in the buy and in the contractual relationship with the suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with other sourcing colleagues to develop and share best practices and procurement process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science etc. MBA desired but not required.
• 3-5 Years or above commodity sourcing experience on contract manufacturing or chemical raw materials in multinational company.
• Exhibits high business ethics and principle based behavior.
• Sufficient experience on sourcing knowledge, technologies and methodologies with proven track record of deliver savings to business.
• Comprehensive understanding about chemical industry, chemical process, and major producers in China;
• Six Sigma training or Green Belt certified is preferred.
• Solid interpersonal/facilitation/influencing skills
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross functional and cross business environment.
• Ability to communicate across all levels, energetic, enthusiastic, with a positive attitude.
• Good command of English both in writing and speaking.
