CLIENT SUMMARY
Our Client is a world leader of electronics product manufacturer.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Manage day to day activities associated with building construction, renovation, and expansion, relocation and consolidation projects. Manage construction projects from inception through completion as the primary point of contact for all related activity
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Schedule and conduct various construction related meetings with Architect/Engineer (AE) firms, Project Management (PM) firms, contractors, facility managers, and internal project teams to develop, review and finalize scope, site and building plans, specifications, construction schedule, construction costs, material delivery, inspection issues, and critical dates. These meetings include but are not limited to scope development, design, pre-construction, pre-bid, construction progress and punch list.
2. Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance with the project plan in order to align stakeholders/team members.
3. Ensure all construction documents have been submitted and building permits secured in accordance with governmental regulations.
4. Observe work in progress on each project to ensure that standard construction practices and procedures are in place and all work conforms to design drawings, specifications, budget and schedules. Requires ongoing site visits and regular written reports.
5. Create, maintain and regularly update electronic project files to include but not limited to progress reports, photos, budgets, schedules, proposals, bids, purchase orders and project correspondence.
6. Inspect workmanship of completed installation including punch list items and receive certificate of occupancy as well as tracking one year warranty items.
7. Review and approve all project related invoices/application for payment/change orders (per company policy) and all project close out documents such as permits, punch list, certificates, as built drawings, etc.
8. Solicit and review qualifications for contractors, subcontractors, and other related professionals, submit qualification information for final approvals, and maintain vendor file and status.
9. Demonstrate a deep understanding of construction safety practices and Environmental Health & Safety standards. Lead weekly safety meetings to ensure that all contractors are in compliance with contractor safety program.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or Construction/Project Management
2. 10+ys working experience,5+ years related experience
3. Ability to read and interpret English/Mandarin documents such as architectural and engineering construction plans, specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences.
5. Ability to manage and communicate in English/Mandarin a multi-discipline group consisting of internal and external resources; business unit leaders, plant managers, industrial engineers, architects, engineers, developers, real estate managers, contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
6. Must be proficient with computer programs; MS Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Project and AutoCAD. LEED AP (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design Accredited Professional) and PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is helpful.
