Job Responsibilities:
? Assisting in marketing functions relating to assigned product lines as well as general departmental functions. This entails driving and developing new products with the Global Product Manager while overseeing and managing quality issues, developing sales promotion programs for assigned product lines to include the printing of material in support of the promotions, and developing and implementing relevant point-of-purchase displays, materials and web content; will also benchmark competitors and perform competitive pricing analysis.
? Responsibility for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing, gross margins, collateral materials and point-of-purchase for assigned product lines. This may also entail a monthly forecast of assigned product lines to include detailed tactics required to meet the strategic objectives.
? Maintain an awareness of trends in the industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the end users of their product line to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches.
? Assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as, act as a contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality, and engineering.
? Provide product training to customers and consumers. The Associate Product Manager will assist the Global Product Manager in evaluating and developing product line total sales and product positioning and will be responsible for managing the annual marketing budget and the profit and loss of the product line. The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for presenting the product line financials to management once a month
Qualifications:
? BS or BA Required
? 1 - 2 years experience in product management experience with a proven track record of results
? Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Creative thinking/problem solving skills
? Strong project management skills
? Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
? Solid analytical skills and acute attention to details
? Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams
? Strong oral and written communication skills are required; must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner
