Responsibility

• Work closely with cross functional teams to implement defined process to meet the quality goals
• Analyze the quality metrics against goals and provide feedback to development teams on corrective actions
• Oversee defect tracking robustness, drive the root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions
• Work with cross functional teams to review and drive planning activities to incorporate effort relevant to implementation of quality improvement initiatives
• Identifies problems or potential improvements, forms hypotheses, and suggests cost-effective alternative courses of action.
• Analyze metrics, understand the risk of software delivery and provide recommendations to the organization
• Review all the SDLC deliverables at milestones
• Work with metrics team to deploy the fault prediction model and train the team on usage of fault prediction models
• Design process improvement initiatives to enable optimized product delivery
• Help institutionalize defined processes across the product development teams
• Impart process, metrics, quality related training to various teams

Qualification

• 12-15 years experience in software development, including 8 years in quality assurance, release management
• Extensive knowledge of software quality methods. Hands on experience in in deploying TL9000/SEI process models.
• Prior experience in release quality manager role, extensive knowledge of metrics programs, software quality processes, hands on experience in driving quality improvement programs and statistical analysis skills are required.
