职位描述

The Planner/buyer will work within the Manufacturing Global Supply Chain Organization and be responsible for assigned plants, products and/or programs. The individual will be required to manage the supply chain to ensure service level targets are attained while optimizing asset utilization. The individual will also be required to lead multifunctional teams, work on problems of diverse scope and exercise judgment within generally defined practices and methods to resolve issues and obtain satisfactory solutions. The individual will report to manager of Global Supply Management in China.


Major responsibilities include:

Plan supply and demand for global products and divisions. Manage product life cycles from new product introduction to end of life planning, including master data creation, prototype scheduling, material analysis, capacity review, production ramp-up, service planning, and IOS disposition. Monitor and report global performance metrics focused on delivery and inventory management. Lead cross functional teams utilizing lean techniques to solve problems, improve processes, and to enhance materials management, execution, and planning processes in both corporate and manufacturing plant settings. Support SAP and APO planning, training, and subsidiary implementations.


Daily work includes:


1. Weekly report excess and shortage quantity to all sales theater planners and management

2. Weekly review of Planning / Purchase requirement reports to execute all required new purchasing orders

3. Weekly Submission of Consolidated Output report to vendors for scheduling line additions and updates. Review weekly change proposals from vendor on consolidated output report.

4. Research and action Back order and Missing ASN report (ZOPO report) to ensure timely receipts of purchasing documents into the distribution centers

5. Analysis of Shortages/Excess Inventory/Under Target items by location utilizing the weekly Alert report to determine actions needed to ensure in stocks to meet demand and to minimize excess inventory.

6. Review and Manage EOL activity and IOS.

7. Regular updates of ECC purchasing documents to match vendor open order reports to provide the most accurate inventory status in ECC for the sales channels.

8. Inform Sales and subsidiary colleagues of impacting supply constraints that cannot be satisfactorily resolved. Escalate to management where required.

9. Monitor and maintain material master data in SAP and APO for data accuracy

10. Track PPV Monthly for data accuracy and reporting from Central Services and Manufacturing Finance

11. Provide ad hoc reporting on planning and inventory analyses

12. Participate and/or schedule regular conference calls with suppliers for discussions of current issues and maintain supplier relationships.

13. Support New Product planner /Strategic Buyers and Division Program teams for New Program launches

14. Manage/Return/Rework inventory with Suppliers

15. Drive Process Efficiencies within the role

16. Communicate effectively and maintain strong relationships with internal customers including Supply and Demand Planning, Divisions, Sales Channels, Accounts Payable, Logistics, and CIS to complete work assignments

17. Cost maintenance of all purchasing documents to ensure accurate payment to the vendor….Reconciliation with Accounts Payable for any incorrect payments.



Other Requirements:

· Advanced planning and scheduling system experience required. SAP Supply Network Planning, Demand Planning, and ECC/R3 experience a plus.

· Experience in capacity and resource management and MRP in a high volume electronics manufacturing environment is a plus.

· Proficient in MS Excel

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

· Special Certifications: APICS (CPIM), NAPM (CPM) a plus

· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, materials, finance or management. 3-5 years of progressive planning and master scheduling experience in a fast paced manufacturing or corporate environment.
