POSITION SUMMARY

This senior machinery engineer is expected to develop machinery specification, conduct vendor design drawing and spec review, and make sure that the vendor manufacturing meets spec and delivery. In addition, the incumbent needs to provide machinery engineering leadership and guidance during construction and commissioning phase for all AP Shanghai executed GG&ET projects ( Gengas, electronics, performance material projects). The incumbent should be able to work independently with minimum supervision. He or she should possess strong working experience and background related to machinery.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

? Lead machinery equipment specification development, design review, drawing/PID approval, and inspection
? Lead machinery bid review
? Lead machinery localization efforts
? Provide machinery engineering leadership and guidance to the site machinery installation and commissioning
? Lead machinery trouble-shooting and optimization efforts
? Coach junior machinery engineers
? Review and check the work done by other machinery engineers


JOB REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanical/Machinery Engineering with good working experience in compressors(reciprocating, centrifugal and screw), pumps, blowers, cooling tower, and other machinery equipment in Air Separation, Oil & Gas, manufacturing, and Petro Chemical Industry.
? Must have at least 8 year related working experience.
? Besides experience in machinery engineering, the basic knowledge on process, piping, electrical and instrumentation engineering is a big plus
? Self motivated and disciplined
? Have a strong aptitude for machinery and associated equipment
? Work well with other team members, customers, and suppliers
? Able to read and write emails and technical documents in English
? Able to communicate in English.
