? Provide scientific input for and plan the management of complex epidemiological studies
? Primary responsibility for development of study design and data collection for epidemiologic studies
? Partner with external groups conducting epidemiologic and other community studies globally; initiate and manage external collaboration globally
? Assess epidemiology project progress and evaluate results; implement changes in methods or design where necessary
? Design data collection forms and maintain tracking database for clinical isolates to support relevant functions in alignment with other epidemiology groups within Novar-tis
? Author final reports summarizing study results
? Write and co-author manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication
? Make presentations to the scientific, medical and public health communities at na-tional and international meetings
? Develop and monitor study budgets
? Assist with development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
? Assist in the development of strategies and policies and their implementation.
? Provide epidemiological support to: development, pharmacovigilance, medical affairs, research, marketing, regulatory and commercial functions.
? Contribute to the development of strategies for and manage new development efforts in epidemiology, surveillance and related fields.
