Job Summary:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of supply chain processes that mainly involve inventory/stock control, transportation, warehousing and ensuring that the team, processes and structures are in place to ensure that organization's objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Control/ Movement and Supply Chain

· Monitor the quality, cost and efficiency of both the movement and storage of goods.

· Ensure on-time delivery of goods to outlets.

· Coordinate and control the order cycle with factories.

· Work with Inventory, Shipping Teams to ensure that proper, sufficient storage is available for incoming goods and arrangements are made for transportation for outgoing goods to replenish outlets.

· Keep track of current stock levels of the organization.

· Generate analysis reports on incoming/ outgoing stock to track inventory movement.

· Liaising and managing vendors (WMS, 3rd Party Logistics Provider, Transportation vendors)

· Develop solutions, improve and innovate processes as needed to overcome logistical problems.

· Handle and coordinate customs declaration for imported goods.

· Liaise with freight companies on the allocation of containers.


2. People Management

· Manage Warehouse, Transportation and Logistics Admin Staff with the assistance of Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics Officer/ Executive.

· Setting of department objectives.

· Implement safety and health procedures.

· Ensure safety workplace for workers to operate in.

· Project Management.


3. Equipment/ Systems Management

· Procure, provide and coordinate the availability, maintenance of necessary equipment required for Warehouse staff to operate efficiently. (E.g. Forklifts, conveyor belts and etc)

· Manage and administer the Warehouse Management System.


Requirements

· 5 to 7 years experience with extensive logistics/ warehouse management experience.

· Preferably with Degree/ Diploma in Logistics Management/ Supply Chain Management.

· Project Management and implementation experience required.

· Knowledge of WMS is a plus.

· In-depth knowledge in logistics arrangements, shipping, customs and tax clearance.
