A. PRIMARY PURPOSE (WHY DOES THIS JOB EXISTS)
(1) Support CFS Manager and responsible for the statutory compliance and reporting processes, financial planning and forecasting of ledgers.
(2) Support CFS Manager on consolidating financial data, analysis of financial results and preparation of consolidated plans and forecasts.
(3) Work with Dalian Business Centre (DBC) closely to ensure the integrity & accuracy of accounting records for BU entities; and to implement appropriate programs to continuously improve the reporting processes.
(4) Support CFS Manager in working with PWC in statutory compliance processes for different BU (ie. AE, BE, and PS) entities in Shanghai and in China.
(5) Support CFS Manager in CFS rollout assessment in different BU entities in China.
(6) Support CFS Manager in providing consulting advice / support to BUs in special projects such as M&A, due diligence, capital injection, legal entity restructuring, tax planning projects etc.
B. PRIMARY DUTIES:

? Lead, monitor and manage the preparation of financial and tax schedules for statutory audit compliance of BU entities under his / her responsibilities.
? Support the annual statutory audit; prepare audit binders and reconciliations and reports at legal entity level according local GAAP regulations.
? Prepare Statutory Financial Statements. Prepare USGAAP vs local GAAP reconciliations.
? Review monthly BU entities' financial results; Reconcile end-of-month accounts as per SOX responsibility matrix; Prepare variance commentary to Corporate and / or to different cost center owners if required.
? Support plant, shared services centers and central functions regarding accounting/financial issues.
? Work with Treasury to perform hedging, cash pooling activities and other treasury related initiatives in Shanghai entities or other China entities.
? Oversee all long-term debt activity to ensure new issues, monthly interest accruals and retirements of debt are properly recorded and classified in the general ledger.
? Assists with financial and tax reporting schedules.
? Participate as member of Corporate budgeting team, and provide guidance to Corporate department managers during budgeting / forecasting process and consolidates department budgets.
? Provides necessary reports and analyses to internal and external auditors during the financial audit.
? Communicate and interface with business personnel on accounting issues.
? Interface to external and internal auditors, consultants etc.
? Participate in CFS rollout assessment in BU entities in China. Identify any issues and co-ordinate with BU to develop action plan to remediate the issues identified.


C. EDUCATION, TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent education and experience
? 5+ years experience in financial reporting, planning, analysis and audit experience in big 4 & in-house experience would be a plus
? Thorough knowledge of accounting theory and its application in practice
? Proven ability to prepare account analyses and reconcile accounts
? Experience in ERP / MRP software (e.g. MFG-PRO/SAP/iscala) is a must
? Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach
? Familiar with problem solving and process improvement techniques
? Ability to manage projects and see them through to implementation
? Ability to work well independently and work well in a team setting
? Certified Public Account (CPA) preferred
