AECOM's Design + Planning practice offers a holistic approach to guide responsible and productive use of the land. Our practice includes design, master planning, environmental and ecological planning, strategic planning and economic development. We integrate these areas of expertise on projects of all scales and contexts. Some of our clients are private developers creating communities or world-class destinations. Others are national and local governments seeking to manage their natural and cultural resources. Others are agencies empowered to create amenities like parks or to regenerate communities, cities, regions.

Responsibilities:

Plays a key role in projects, as a lead, project manager, or critical designer.
Leads projects that are medium to large in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule, and staff are working together effectively.
Develops design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project's scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems that effectively address the social, legal, and economic implications of the physical form.
Provide project or task management to develop urban design and planning concepts and translate them into clear and compelling graphic images.
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard urban design techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects.
Plays a key role in client management and client satisfaction.
Leads marketing efforts to current clients and is instrumental in identifying and attracting new clients.

Requirements:

- 4-8 years' post-graduate experience as an Urban Designer with large-scale masterplanning experience.

- Bachelor's in Architecture and Master's degree in Urban Design.

- Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.

- Experience working on large-scale international projects.

- For more senior positions, previous experience in successfully managing small teams and proven design leadership skills.

- Excellent design, visualization, graphic and 3D skills.

- Expertise in Adobe Design Collection, and AutoCAD.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational skills.

- Be able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Fluency in English required. Fluency in Mandarin preferred.
