Position Summary:

6 Senior Landscape Designer (level 3)

Landscape Designer, Level 3, is a senior level position in the design studio. He/she leads the initiation and development of project plans and design ideas. This position is expected to lead medium to large teams, providing management guidance and mentorship for all levels of staff. He/she is also instrumental in business development activities.

Responsibilities:

·Plays a key role in projects, as a lead, project manager, or critical designer.

·Leads projects that are medium to large in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensuring key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule and staff are working together effectively.

·Develops landscape design plans in response to technical problems posed by a project’s scope. Develops innovative solutions to problems.

·Serves as a technical design expert to the project, but generally works through staff to develop and execute design.

·Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard landscape architecture techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications on projects.

·Manages the presentation and report development for clients.

·Plays a key role in client management and client satisfaction.

·Leads marketing efforts to current clients and is instrumental in identifying and attracting new clients.

Requirements:

·Bachelors in Landscape Architecture or closely related field required, Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred.

·Generally requires 7 years or more in a landscape designer role.

·Proven experience successfully managing teams; well regarded by peers and direct reports.

·Strong client management skills.

·Strong financial and budget management skills.

·Proven track record in successfully securing new work as well as maintaining existing contracts.

·Strong portfolio of built work which demonstrates excellent technical capabilities.

·Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills.

·Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and, Adobe Creative Suite software packages.

·Proficiency in MS Office Suite as well as overall strong computer proficiency.

·Strong attention to detail.

·Excellent organizational skills.
