Responsibility:
- Provide structured Project Management (based on PMI guidelines) around tactical system implementations, upgrades, programs, product/service specific initiatives and special one-time customer /internal facing projects.
- Ability to rapidly establish command of the customer technical environment and identify key decisions required for project success.
- Taking the lead role in ensuring resolution of all project issues.
- Setting priorities for appropriate Polycom resources assigned to specific projects.
- Interfacing with Polycom and customer’s management, sales, operations and customer service organizations to successfully deliver on project scope.
- Create and manage project plan, including project requirements, tasks, personnel, logistics, resources, and timeframes.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction with the quality and timeliness of project deliverables.
- Identify and implement specific process improvements based on recommendations from project debriefs.
- Ensure product and technology knowledge is kept up to date in order to provide effective management of projects, especially targeted at risk identification and mitigation.
- Demonstrate excellent team work and ability to work in large, complex project settings.
- Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate process and methodology improvements.
- Demonstrate strong customer advocacy (internal/external)
- Demonstrate good understanding and execution of high tech complex projects.
- Demonstrate ability to manage project risks and create positive impact from lessons learnt on projects.
Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, or other technical discipline
- 5-10 years verifiable project management experience working with multi-functional teams of 15 to 50 members, including: programmer analysts, technical architects, database administrators, sales, service, and manufacturing personnel.
- Must demonstrate excellent grasp of system integration, scope definition and control, activity estimation, time and quality management, organizational planning, staffing, process, quality matrix, team development and coaching.
- Knowledge of telephony and data network.
- Knowledge of network
- Channel management skill is a good plus
- Excellent writing and verbal skills are required for conducting presentations and negotiating with all levels of personnel.
- Background with Audio and/or Video conferencing technologies a plus.
- Advanced degree in a technical or business discipline and/or PMP certification both a plus.
