1. Position Summary:

An EHS manager is a specialist who coordinates the management of an organization’s environmental, health and safety performance. The individual must be able to identify related risks/problems and drive resolution from a holistic perspective by working with cross functional teams including engineering, production, procurement, quality and regulatory etc. An important element of the role is being a change agent and provides training to staff at various levels to ensure all members of the organization recognize and contribute to improved compliance to EHS.

2. Key Responsibilities/Duties:
Key areas of responsibility include:
· Leading the definition and implementation of environmental, health and safety policies and practices
· Managing the development and implementation of an environmental, health and safety management system
· Coordinating all aspects of environmental health, risk assessment, pollution reduction, waste management and employee involvement;
· Ensuring compliance with environmental, occupational health and safety legislation
· Auditing and reporting on environmental performance to internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies
· Identifying, assessing and reducing an organization’s environmental risks and financial costs;
· Raising awareness and training staff at all levels of the organization on emerging environmental, health and safety issues and responsibilities
· Keeping abreast of environmental legislation and good practices;
· Collaborating with other sites and corporate EHS teams for sharing and learning


3. Job Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in the area of Environmental studies or related field
· Five (5) or more years of professional environmental experience with a strong knowledge of Environmental regulations and Health and Safety knowledge
· Demonstrated experience in the application of EHS management systems
· The experience in a multi-national and cross function group setting, preferably in medical devices domain
· Good communication, influencing and conflict resolution skills
· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written)
