Job Description



Job Title: Sales Representative - Industrial


Reports To: Regional Sales Manager


Group/Division: Healthcare Solutions China / Industrial Vertical Sales


Career Band: III


Position Location: Multiple Locations


Day/Shift (if applicable): N/A


FLSA Status (Exempt/Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt



Position Summary:




Manage a portfolio of key accounts in order to achieve the agreed sales target. This will be accomplished in part by promoting a positive image of the Company and its products, report on sales and market issues and communicating effectively throughout the company.




Job Responsibilities:



1. Achieve the sales target for the product category


Standards of performance for the above:


i. The sales target is achieved


ii. To be wholly responsible for the industrial key accounts sales in China, selling in client organizations from top to bottom


iii. To coordinate activity of the Industrial Sales Team, Technical Support Team, and marketing as appropriate


iv. The pricing policy is implemented, through control of all tenders and quotations




2. Manage a portfolio of key accounts


Standards of performance for the above:


i. Setup a completely database for key accounts


ii. Follow up global projects, such as Global Key Account, which are executed in China


iii. Leverage across divisions to follow up important local projects, such as food safety, water analysis etc
iv. Write 3 year business plans for major clients, reviewed annually


v. An annual set of targets and objectives for the key accounts is agreed


vi. Business with the key accounts is developed, achieving all targets and objectives


vii. A monthly report of key account activities is produced, to include performance against target, factors affecting sales and updated forecasts




3. Report on sales and market issues and communicate effectively throughout the company


i. Monitor trends, analyze competitor activities and identify business opportunities


ii. Produce a monthly report of:


a. Personal activity


b. Competitor activity


c. Business gained & lost


d. Market issues




4. Continuously develop attitudes, knowledge and skills required for the role


i. Be fully conversant with and implement company policy


ii. The principles of self-appraisal are practiced after every business meeting


iii. Fulfill responsibilities as defined in the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies






Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:



Essential


· bachelor degree or above in Microbiology, Biomedical or Biological Science


· Experience in sales/marketing role for at least 1 year


· Continuously develop attitudes, knowledge and skills required for the role


· excellent communication skills


· team work skills




Desirable


· One year’s relevant industry experience


· good in both English and Chinese
