Accountabilities:· Designs and implements country distribution safety strategy and programs
· Collect information and determine whether active ingredients, raw materials and finished goods are dangerous goods.
· Classify, label, recommend packaging and transport requirements to comply with International and Country Dangerous Goods requirements.
· Track current and emerging International and Country distribution, logistics and dangerous goods related regulations, engage impacted parties and develop action plans to ensure compliance.
· Audit and ensure Syngenta activities are carried out in conformance to Syngenta HSES standards and local regulations – be it carried out by Syngenta personnel or 3rd Party Service providers.
· Identify gaps in current warehousing and transportation requirements to meet International & Country Dangerous Goods requirement and Syngenta HSES standards & code of practices.
· Develop a training plan to raise awareness and increase capability of supply chain personnel in Dangerous Goods.
· Ensure all distribution safety information in the Packaging Instructions is updated. Knowledge, experience & capabilities


Critical knowledge
1.Qualified candidates should have an university degree or diploma in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, or equivalent
2.Understand, interpret and apply International & local Dangerous Goods regulations and Syngenta HSES requirements
3.Able to use research, social networks and industry association links to understand the needs of stakeholders in primary and secondary distribution.
4.Has deep and broad understanding of Dangerous Goods and HSES
5.Understands primary and secondary distribution processes, activities and dynamics
6.Anticipates changes in the International and country regulatory environment and adjusts strategies accordingly

Critical experience
1.Minimum 3 years of experience in dangerous goods transportation and/or dangerous substances storage regulations in an O&G, Chemical or Logistics Company
2.Proven track record in the regulatory arena - preferably DGSA qualified and for other modes of transport (ADR, IMDG and ICAO)
3.Previous work experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
